I’m originally from Watford City, ND and graduated from the Dental Assisting program at NDSCS-Whapeton in 2003. I have worked with Dr. Heidi since 2004. One of the things I most enjoy about my job is meeting new patients and getting to know them personally, not just dentally. There are many patients I have formed close relationships with over the years and I look forward to continuing those relationships, as well as developing new ones.

My husband, Jason, and I have 2 boys: Karter and Max. They keep us busy with travel baseball in the summer. During school, they play football, basketball and baseball. When we have a free moment, we enjoy spending time with family and catching up with friends.

I am a Dickinson, ND native, however, I lived away for 26 years. My 30+ years of dental experience include exposure to orthodontics, oral surgery and general dentistry. I love the quaint atmosphere of Modern Smiles and the personal care we can give our patients. I am happy to call it my home away from home.  

My husband, Mark, and I moved back to ND in 2012 from Michigan, where we raised our boys, Joshua & Aaron. Our family has grown over the last 8 years as I have gained a stepson, Thomas, a daughter-in-law, Amy and 2 adorable granddaughters, Ava and Olivia. In 2021 & 2022, we welcomed two more fabulous daughters-in-law, Molly and Carley Jo! Large families are familiar to Mark and I, so it warms my heart watching ours grow! My free time is spent enjoying the outdoors and beautiful open skies of ND, meeting with my Bible study group: Wine, Women & the Word, spending time with my family and sisters, and taking Wilken, my goldendoodle, for walks. 

Being a hygienist is very rewarding! I love seeing the smiles on my patients’ faces when they have clean, healthy teeth and gums. Creating a comfortable experience, while in my care, is one of my strengths. I make a point of thoroughly educating my patients about their specific home care needs, as I feel this establishes confidence in me, and confidence in the care they receive at Modern Smiles.

I have lived in Bismarck since 1996. I earned my hygiene degree from St. Cloud Technical College in 2009. My husband and I have a daughter and a son. They keep us busy running to activities they’re involved in. I am active as a mentor in the elementary program at Gracepoint Church. Our family enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, snowboarding…almost anything outdoors! When the weather cooperates, I enjoy riding on the back of my husband’s motorcycle or in the passenger seat of his airplane.
